Käväisin
taas Heinolassa. Talvella siellä kilpailtiin jääveistoksilla (kerroin siitä
täällä), nyt oli tehty kolme hiekkaveistosta Siltasaareen. Tämä ei ollut
kilpailu, osallistujat olivat kuitenkin samoja kuin jääveistokisassa. Ei kai
sillä sitten ole väliä, mitä veistää. Nämäkin olivat kestäneet viime viikon
kovat rankkasateet ja olivat vielä melko timmissä kunnossa. Ilmeisesti hiekan seassa oli
käytetty liimaa.
I visited Heinola again. Last winter there was an ice festival in
Heinola (I posted about it here). Now there were sculptures made of sand at
Siltasaari island. This wasn’t a competition although the participants were the
same as in the ice sculpting competition. Well, maybe it makes no difference what
material you sculpt. These three stood up under the last week’s downpour and
they are still quite well in shape. Apparently they had blended glue to the
sand
